High strength structural non-shrink self-compacting micro concrete
Vetorep CR521 is a single component polymer modified fibered cementitious structural and non-shrink microconcrete that is ready to use and only requires the addition of water on site. Once mixed the products becomes a self compacting micro-concrete that is applied by pouring into prepared form-work for the repair of demanding structural repair while being compatible with host concrete. Vetorep CR521 is composed of a blend of hydraulic cements, carefully selected and graded aggregates, fibers and special additives to give it its unique properties.

Vetobond EB430 supplied in 1 Liter Kit. Consumption - 8 m2 / Liter.
Note: Vetorep CR520 repair area should not exceed 2.5 m2 in single application.
Original sealed kits of Vetorep CR521 has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry and shaded temperature controlled place <35ºC.
Priming
To accept Vetorep CR521, all grit blasted steel reinforcements should be primed within 2 to 4 hours with one or two coats of corrosion inhabitor for steel reinforcement Vetoprime CP437.
Provided that the substrate has been thoroughly soaked with clean water, and is damp on application of product a primer is not normally required. For concrete highly contaminated with soluble salts, it is recommended to use Vetobond EB430, an epoxy bonding agent, which prevents migration of salts such as chloride ions and sulphate to the repair patch, as well as providing enhanced bond for Vetorep CR520 to host concrete.
Mixing
To ensure proper mixing, a mechanically powered mixer or drill fi tted with suitable paddle should be used. 2.8 to 3 liters of clean water should be added to a clean container.
The powder is then added slowly to the water while mixing continuously with low speed mixer/drill (400 - 600 rpm). Mixing time should be continued for 3 minutes until uniform consistency is obtained.
Placing and Finishing
Vetorep CR521 should be poured in a single continuous operation, within 25 minutes of mixing. The mixed materials should be poured slowly to prevent air entrapment.
Curing
As Vetorep CR521 is a cementitious based material, it should be cured in a similar manner to concrete. Curing can be conducted using Vetobond AB432 or by continuous watering and covering with polyethylene sheets.
Cleaning
All tools should be cleaned immediately after application using fresh water. Hardened materials must be cleaned mechanically.
All damaged and weak concrete shall be cut back to reach sound concrete or to a minimum depth of application. Corroded steel reinforcement should be grit blasted to remove all rust traces. Steel loss up to 25% of original section shall be compensated, where loss of section exceeds 25%, steel reinforcement shall be replaced.
Remove all concrete form around exposed steel reinforcements by 25 mm thickness. The perimeters of the repair area should be saw cut to a minimum depth of 10 mm. The prepared area should be cleaned thoroughly by brush and/or compressed air. A water tight form-work should be used to avoid material loss.
Areas to be repaired with Vetorep CR521 should be soaked with clean water for several hours before applying the Vetorep system. All excess water should be removed.
Vetorep CR521 Contains reins which may cause sensitization by skin contact. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapor. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Barrier creams provide additional skin protection. Should accidental skin contact occur, remove immediately with a resin removing cream, followed by soap and water. Do not use solvent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
Vetorep CR521 is non-flammable.
