Vetocure XT427 I=is supplied in 20 Pail & 200 liter Drum, Coverage: 4 - 6 m2/Liter
Stated consumptions data are for general guidance. Actual consumption depends on the nature of substrate, method of application and wastage.
Vetocure XT427 has a minimum shelf life of 12 months, provided the temperature is kept within the range of 5ºC to 35ºC. Freezing and prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight should be avoided. Should the temperature of the product fall outside this range then Saveto Technical Service Department should be contacted for advice.
Containers should be kept sealed and airtight to prevent loss of moisture by evaporation.
Application to fresh concret
Vetucure XT427 should be spray applied to the surface of fresh concrete. Application should be made approximately 30 minutes after evaporation has left the concrete free from surface water.
Spray machine producing a fine mist may be used for Vetocure XT427 application, such as knapsack or motorised sprayers. The suitability of the machine should be ensured by an application trial. The spray nozzle should be held approximately 450 mm from the concrete surface and passed back and forth to ensure complete coverage. Pump pressure should be maintained to give an even, fine spray.
To ensure continued curing, no further application of water or other material is necessary after application. The cured surface should not be disturbed until it has sufficient strength to bear surface loads. The applied film should not be waked on before it is fully dry and care should be taken to ensure that the film is not broken.
Application to hardened concrete
Vetucure XT427 can be applied manually if spray machine is not available. Use soft brush, broom or wide roller for applying Vetocure XT427. Application in this manner should only be made once the concrete has hardened sufficiently to not be damaged during application.
Vetocure XT427 may also be applied to the surface of newly hardened concrete immediately after de-moulding. The surface must be structurally sound, free from oil, grease and other forms of contamination. which may otherwise prevent adhesion of Vetocure XT247 to the concrete.
The recommended coverage rate for Vetocure XT427 is between 4.0 and 6.0 m2 / litrer (0.17 - 0.25 litres/m2 ).
Over-coating and removal
Vetocure XT427 can be applied over old, covered substrates. Small trial area is recommended to ensure that the desired properties are obtained.
Before over-coating with Vetocure XT427, ensure that the surface is completely free of stains, oils and other materials that may interfere with the adhesion of the material.
