Premixed cementitious masonry mortar
Masonry Mortar is a cement based coat composed of hydraulic binders, selected aggregates and high performance additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on site, which requires only addition of clean water to produce cohesive mortar. Masonry Mortar is a premium quality product contains special adhesion additive. Masonry Mortar can be applied in thickness from 5 mm to 50 mm.

Original sealed bags of Masonry Mortar has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry shaded place at temperatures between +5ºC - 35ºC
Mixing
Add to the mixing container 8 - 10 litres of water for each 50 Kg bag of Masonry Mortar. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes, until a uniform, lumpfree consistency is achieved.
Leave the mixed material to stand for 10 min and briefly remix without addition of water.
Manual mixing is allowed for small batch quantities and mix for approx. 1-2 min or when homogenous mix is achieved.
Application
Neutralize the suction of the block surface with water before applying mortar. Any excess water should be removed.
The masonry mortar is spread with trowel on the surface and joints where the blocks are to be mounted.
Fill joint in similar way as conventional sand/cement mortar.
After stiffening, the masonry mortar should be given a final smoothing to remove protrusions and eliminates undulations.
Cleaning
All tools should be cleaned immediately after finishing by water. Hardened materials can be cleaned mechanically.
Block surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Prior to Masonry Mortar application, wet the entire surfaces with clean potable water and surface should look damp at the time of Masonry Mortar application.
Masonry Mortar is highly alkaline therefore avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be wash with soap & water. In case of eyes irritation, immediately wash with copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advice.
Masonry Mortar is non-flammable.
