Water Resistant Patch & Repair Premixed Render
Vetonit Render is a cement based mortar composed of hydraulic binders, selected sand aggregates and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre- weighed bags ready to use on site, which requires only addition of clean water to produce cohesive mortar. Vetonit Render is a high quality product contains shrinkage control additive. It is ideal for patch repair and thick plaster application especially in coastal areas. Vetonit Render is available in grey & white.
Vetonit Render is supplied in 50kg Bag, with consumption:1.2 - 1.4 Kg/m²/mm
Original sealed bag of Vetonit Render has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry and shaded place.
Mixing
For manual mixing, add to the mixing container 10-11 litres of water for each 50 Kg bag of Vetonit Render. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3 - 4 minutes, until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved.
Leave the mixed material to stand for 10 min and briefly remix without addition of water.
Manual mixing is allowed for small batch quantities and mix for approx. 1 - 2 min or when homogenous mix is achieved.
Smooth Concrete Surfaces
Vetonit Render can be applied directly to the smooth concrete surfaces without the need for a scratch coat.
For more adhesion, depending on the concrete surface conditions, add 1-2 liters of Vetonit Bond 2 to the mixing water and adjust to the required liquid/ powder ratio for 50kg bag.
Follow same mixing procedure as described above. Ensure that scratch layer is applied first. Mixed material must be used within 2 hours.
Do not add water to the mix once the mixed mortar start to harden
Application
Vetonit Render can be applied in a single layer (3 - 10 mm) or multiple layers upto 20 mm on rough or smooth surfaces to desired thickness. For multiple layers application, each layer should not exceed 10 mm.
Apply mixed material using trowel technique, pushing first layer hard against the substrate. Rod or screed to uniform thickness. Immediately then follow smoothing the surface, if single layer repair.
For second layer allow the first layer to partially set (60 - 120 min depending on weather). Apply second layer as described above to desired total thickness not exceeding 20 mm.
Apply Vetonit Finish WR IG or WR EG as finish coat.
Curing
Vetonit Render is best cured by spraying water on the surfaces of applied materials every 12 hrs for minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions allow curing for minimum of 5 days. It will help to obtain high mechanical strengths and minimize the risk of surface cracks.
Substrate should be sound, clean and free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
Prior to Vetonit Render application, wet the entire surfaces with clean potable water and surface should look damp at the time of Vetonit Render application.
Vetonit Render is highly alkaline therefore avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be wash with soap & water. In case of eyes irritation, immediately wash with copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advise.
