Powder release agent for decorative and stamped concrete.
Powdered Release Agent is a ready to use colored powder, streak free and powder formulated to be easily applied onto the surface of colored or plain concrete. Vetorel XT429 Release Agent is broadcast over the surface of freshly placed colored-concrete floors before imprinting with stamps or other texturing tools or rollers. It forms a bond-breaking barrier that helps prevent the tools from sticking to the fresh concrete.
Color Release Agent is used in conjunction with Vetotop XT537 colored hardener.
Vetorel XT429 is supplied in 17.5 Kg bag, with coverage 100 m2 / Bag
Original sealed container of Vetorel XT429 and has a shelf life of 24 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry shaded place below 35ºC.
Color Release Agent is specially formulated for use with stamped concrete. We recommend to use it with recommended Vetonit Color Hardener and Sealers.
Sub-base must be graded to ensure an even thickness of concrete. At the time of concrete placement, the sub-base must be moist but with no standing water, well consolidated and frost-free. If necessary, the sub-base should be dampened with water in advance of concreting to avoid uneven suction and premature drying out of the underside of the slab.
Immediately prior to imprinting, the Release Agent should be hand-broadcasted evenly across the surface by the dry-shake method, normally in one broadcasting operation. Now imprinting is possible. After the concrete has achieved initial set, the release agent may be removed by pressure rinsing with a high power pressure cleaner.
Vetonit recommend allowing concrete to cure for minimum 7 days before cleaning and sealing.
